Stooper started with a simple frustration: we believed finding a sublet or breaking a lease in New York City was way harder than it needed to be.
Between endless Facebook groups, sketchy Craigslist posts, and expensive brokers, we felt drained wasting time and energy. That's when we decided to build a solution that lets people quickly find and list housing no matter their situation or timeline.
So our amazing team grabbed some coffee, pulled a few all-nighters, and built Stooper - a home for sublets and lease takeovers that feels as simple as StreetEasy, as safe as Airbnb, and ready for today’s fast-moving world.
